Have your say on libraries to go into weekly gift card draws

Fraser Coast residents are encouraged to fill out a short survey about local library services to go into a weekly draw to win a $25 Buy Local Fraser Coast gift card.

Cr Phil Truscott said the survey only took about 10 minutes to complete and the feedback would help ensure library services were meeting the needs of the community.

“Fraser Coast libraries are a popular choice for all ages and offer welcoming and comfortable spaces, cutting edge online information sources and a wide array of physical resources and technologies,” he said.

“In addition to the great range of books, DVDS and toys for borrowing, our libraries also connect communities and encourage social engagement and learning by offering a diverse range of community programs and activities.

“Our local library staff are always looking at how they can deliver the best possible services for the community, and we want to hear from those people who are not members of the library as well as those who are.

“We need input from as many people as possible to help make our libraries the best they can be for everyone.”

Cr Truscott said a random winner would be drawn from among those who had submitted the questionnaire each week during the six-week survey period and advised by phone or email.

“Everyone has until 5pm on Saturday, November 13, to fill out the survey but the sooner you complete it, the more chances you’ll have to win,” he said.

Cr Truscott said printed copies of the survey were available at all five library branches, customer service centres and other selected council and community venues.

“Please return all completed printed surveys to your nearest library branch or alternatively, fill out the survey online at frasercoast.engagementhub.com.au/libraries,” he said.

Almost 41,000 people are Fraser Coast libraries’ members – more than a third of the region’s population.
