Covid

The Chief Health Officer has issued a public health direction requiring people to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to be able to attend a range of venues and events after 5am on 17 December.

This direction means only vaccinated people can attend the following Council facilities or events:

  • Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre (indoor and outdoor events)
  • Gatakers Artspace
  • Maryborough Showgrounds and Equestrian Park
  • WetSide Water Park
  • The Story Bank
  • The Bond Store
  • Cultural, art and music festivals where ticketed entry applies

In addition, only vaccinated people will be able to attend the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery and Customs House when these venues re-open.

Council owned libraries, pools, customer service centres and caravan parks remain exempt from the Queensland Government’s vaccination requirements at this time.

Community halls will be subject to COVID-19 occupancy limits of no more than one person per two square metres for areas open to or used by visitors.

Like all businesses and organisations, Council needs to abide by any lawfully made public health direction.
