Youth Week

A big week of free activities has been planned for Fraser Coast Youth Week 2022.

“The added advantage is Youth Week 2022 falls in the school holidays,” Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said.

Anyone aged 12 to 25 can join in the celebrations that will be staged from Tuesday, April 5 to Friday, April 8 across the Fraser Coast.

“The events are very diverse and cater for a range of interests and age groups,” Cr Seymour said.

“Events include a colour run and disc golf at the Tinana Rec Reserve in Maryborough to a pool party at the Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre and Youth Fest at the Seafront Oval.

“By co-ordinating these activities we show our youths that they are important to us; they are valued and they make a valuable contribution to our communities.

“The events also are an opportunity to show that we value our youths; that we want to engage with them and hear what they have to say about the world around them and their aspirations to ensure that the region is the place they want to live, work and play.”

Event information is available on Council’s website www.frasercoast.qld.gov.au/youth-week.
