Wet weather on the way

Back

The wet and windy weather is expected to continue across the state, gradually easing into next week.

Some isolated heavy falls have occurred across the region, so catchments are now saturated which could lead to isolated flash flooding during heavy showers.

Please be careful when on the roads in heavy rain. If its flooded forget it!

Some events, such as the Maryborough Markets, have now been cancelled due to the wet, and a minor flood warning for the Mary River at Gympie was issued by the BoM at 1pm today.

River level rises are likely during Thursday with isolated areas of minor flooding possible.

The Mary River at Tiaro may reach the minor flood level (6m) later in the week and remain below the minor flood level (5m) at Maryborough.
