Fraser Coast Regional Council is proposing a new wastewater treatment plant at TREMLIN DRIVE, HOWARD QLD, 4659 (LOT 103 H2174).
 
This proposal has been made as a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) under the Planning Act 2016.
 
The project includes:
  • A new wastewater treatment plant consisting of a lagoon system with 2anaerobic lagoons and 6 facultative lagoons;
  • Treated effluent is disposed via irrigation to a 41ha tree plantation on site.

It will involve a staged construction process with an ultimate capacity of 3,000 Equivalent Persons to cater for backlog sewerage construction and estimated town growth to year 2036.
