Bookmark Competition

It’s time to get creative and design a bookmark in the Fraser Coast Libraries’ Design-a-Bookmark competition.

The Fraser Coast Libraries have launched its annual competition which opens today (February 1).

All winning entries will receive a $50 gift voucher, plus their winning entries will be professionally printed and available for free at Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Tiaro, Howard and Burrum Heads libraries.

Regional Librarian Tara Webb said this was a brilliant opportunity to get creative and have your artwork published as a bookmark.

“Last year we had 183 entries which was fantastic.  This year there is no theme, and there are five different age categories, including 60 and over plus a People’s Choice Award,” she said.

The winners are judged on originality, design and reproducibility and you need to be a library member to enter.

Joining Fraser Coast Libraries is free and it’s also free to enter the bookmark competition.

“It’s such a valued service and its great to see about 40 per cent of the region’s population are now Fraser Coast Library members.”

Entries close March 28 and winners will be announced in April.
