Jetstar adds more than 35 thousand low fares seats on Hervey Bay network to meet growing demand

Jetstar has announced it will increase capacity on its Hervey Bay network, adding one extra return flight between Sydney and Hervey Bay per week from July 2025, increasing to daily flights during the December–January holiday period. These flights are now available to book at jetstar.com.

The capacity increases come off the back of strong demand for the route, with more than 270,000 passengers having travelled between Sydney and Hervey Bay since the route relaunched in May 2021.

The announcement also follows recent news of an additional weekly service on the Hervey Bay–Melbourne route, bringing the number of flights between the two destinations to four return flights per week from late October.

Since launching the Melbourne–Hervey Bay route in June last year, Jetstar has carried nearly 50,000 passengers, proving its popularity with both Melburnians and Fraser Coast locals.

The increased capacity on Jetstar’s Hervey Bay services will add over 35,000 low fare seats for travellers each year, making it easier than ever to explore the stunning Fraser Coast.

Jetstar remains the only commercial airline offering direct flights from Hervey Bay to both Melbourne and Sydney and continues to look for opportunities to grow in the region.

Fares are currently available from as low as $121 for Hervey Bay-Melbourne and $96 for Hervey Bay-Sydney.
