Grants boost community groups across Fraser Coast
Shaded seating, mower tractors, lighting upgrades, and equipment for trauma support and sports training are among the projects supported under the latest round of Fraser Coast Regional Council’s Community Grants Program.
Seventeen community and sporting groups across the region will share more than $67,000 to help deliver local projects that improve facilities, support events, and enhance community well-being.
Communities spokesman Cr Phil Truscott said the funding would assist a wide range of volunteer-led organisations.
“From sporting clubs and men’s sheds to croquet and clay target groups, these grants help create spaces where people can come together, get active, and feel supported,” Cr Truscott said.
“This program is all about helping local groups deliver grassroots initiatives that make a difference - whether that’s improving accessibility, supporting mental health, or creating more connected communities.”
