Fraser Coast’s award-winning water park, WetSide, reopened today for the 2025/26 season, and visitors can now enjoy Aqua Ninja for free.

Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said the change would give residents and visitors more opportunities to enjoy Aqua Ninja, a unique water play feature at WetSide.

“Aqua Ninja has been a hit since it opened in November 2022, with more than 6000 runs in its first season,” he said.

“Making it free will increase community use, reduce costs, and simplify operations, all while maintaining safety.

“WetSide is the ultimate place to cool off, from thrilling water slides and a dedicated water play area to TotSide for our littlest visitors, and now a free Aqua Ninja activity.”

Cr Seymour said last season was the park’s biggest since opening in 2018, welcoming 150,000 visitors between September 2024 and May 2025.

“The December school holidays were our busiest time, attracting 55,058 visitors from 14 December 2024 to 27 January 2025,” he said.

“Waterslides remain a crowd favourite, with more than 6,400 slide passes sold during the summer school holidays.

“The impressive attendance figures highlight WetSide’s importance as a vibrant community hub, tourist drawcard and one of the Fraser Coast’s top family destinations.”

WetSide is open 10am to 5pm, Wednesdays to Sundays during school terms, and seven days a week during school holidays.

Entry to WetSide is free, with waterslides costing $8 for 10 rides.
