Zonta Hervey Bay invites Fraser Coast businesses to join campaign.

Back

In 2020 the Zonta Club of Hervey Bay Inc is proposing to raise awareness about gender-based violence, during the 16 Days of Activism, 25 November-10 December, through a media campaign that highlights the good work of so many in our community.  To do this they will be partnering with other organisations including the DV Alliance.

The UN System’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence activities will take place under the 2020 global theme: "Orange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent, Collect!"

Many organisations and businesses have strong policies and procedures to support victims, ensure their workplaces are safe and to support perpetrators to change behaviours.

Zonta Hervey Bay are  inviting Fraser Coast businesses and organisations to be a part of this campaign by agreeing to a Facebook post one day of the campaign, and inclusion in other media, which showcases the organisation as one with a policy and procedures to address gender-based violence.

This would involve:

  1. A photo of the business, or manager/CEO/Owner, or staff
  2. A brief statement, approximately 100 words, about the policy

Please contact Robin Rayner, Project Chair, on 0427755727 or zontaherveybay@gmail.com attention Robin Rayner, if you wish to accept this invitation and have your organisation recognised as one with high standards of workplace practices and safety for all employees.
