Toy Libraries

Fraser Coast Libraries has toy libraries which offer an extensive range of toys, educational resources and learning materials to suit all ages and levels of development.

You can borrow a variety of well made toys and special needs equipment that have been selected to support your child's skill development and imagination.

Hervey Bay Toy Library

161 Old Maryborough Road, Pialba

  • Free to adult library members
  • 6 toys may be borrowed for a 3 week period
  • An extensive range of toys, educational resources and play equipment
  • Hours: Monday to Thursday from 9am to 6pm, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 4pm

Howard Toy Library

  • Free to adult library members
  • 6 toys may be borrowed for a 3 week period
  • An extensive range of toys, educational resources and play equipment
  • Hours: Tuesday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm (closed 1pm to 2pm), Saturday from 9am to 12pm

Maryborough Toy and Special Needs Library

127-129 Bazaar Street, Maryborough

  • Free to adult library members and organizations
  • 5-30 toys may be borrowed for a 3 - 26 week period, depending on membership category
  • An extensive range of toys, educational resources, play equipment and specialised disability equipment
  • Hours: Monday and Tuesday 9am to 5pm, Wednesday and Thursday  9am to 6pm, Friday 9am to 4pm, Saturday 9am to 12pm

 

Some things to remember about using the Toy Libraries:

  • After browsing the collections, return your toys to their correct bag/box and location.
  • After borrowing toys, ensure they are returned clean and with all original packaging.
  • If you borrow a toy that is damaged or has missing pieces, let the library staff know when you return it.
