Planning Scheme Review Project
Council is currently undertaking an overall review of the Fraser Coast Planning Scheme 2014.
Scarness Caravan Park Upgrade
Fraser Coast Regional Council has developed a plan to upgrade the Scarness Caravan Park over the next 18 months.
Boundary Road Extension Project
Construction is planned to start in early 2021 and will take about 18 months to complete, weather permitting.

Hervey Bay Esplanade Community Engagement
This project will assist Council in identifying the community’s values, priorities and vision for the Esplanade for years to come.
Hervey Bay Esplanade Tourist Precinct
The Hervey Bay Esplanade Tourist Precinct Master Plan which was adopted by Council in October 2015.
Howard Sewerage Treatment Facility
The construction of this new treatment system allows for the required additional capacity for commercial connections to unlock sustainable development, create jobs and contribute significantly to the economic growth of the township of Howard.
Hervey Bay Medical Precinct
The plan is to identify the land use opportunities which complement the existing medical facilities and services.
Mary Harbour Development
The proposed development is a 174-hectare mixed-use area which includes a 250 berth marina, 15-hectare harbour and associated marine activities, retail facilities, community facilities and residential living options.
Major Sewerage Treatment Plant Capacity Increase
Council has started a five-year program to ensure there is sufficient sewage treatment capacity to cater for the region’s population growth.
Urangan Harbour Master Plan
A master plan has been developed for the Urangan Harbour which identifies the ultimate land use opportunities.
