EOI Burrum Heads Community Plan Development Group

If you have a vision for your community and a drive to enable community led change consider joining the Burrum Heads Community Plan Development Group.  As part of the community plan development group you will work with likeminded people in developing a community plan for Howard that identifies community aspirations, priorities and a vision for the future.
You will:

• Assist in identifying key stakeholders for the development of the plan
• Assist in wider community engagement to ensure everyone’s voice is heard
• Provide local knowledge, history and insights to assist in the planning process
• Become a local source of knowledge and community champion for the plan

Members of the group will be selected through an expression of interest process to allow for a diverse group of people representative of the wider community.  Representatives of the group will commit to working with facilitators through a series of workshops and community engagement activities to drive the development of the community plan and listen to and evaluating the feedback and input from the wider community.

Community planning is an important mechanism for communities in identifying and understanding community aspirations and prioritise and through the process empower community led development. Council will facilitate the Community Plan Development Group’s efforts in developing the communities plan.
